The Civil Garrison (Rebecca Faller)

The Civil Garrison is a potted history of three hundred years of British rule over the Rock of Gibraltar, a much disputed territory at the mouth of the Mediterranean Sea. The small but constant civilian population of have developed and adapted over the years to the many changes that Gibraltar, Britain or indeed Europa and the World have thrown in its direction. This play endeavours to show how a relatively small group of colonised people, through perseverance, diplomacy and without the need for any violence, became masters of their own homeland.
