The Gache family business dates back to 1830, whilst it is not the oldest business in Gibraltar, it is the oldest that is still owned and operated by the family that founded it. As is the case with many families, the first Gache came to Gibraltar as an economic migrant seeking a better life. In tracing the peaks and troughs that the Gache family, and business encountered over the years, a fascinating picture emerges of the wider commercial sector in Gibraltar.

Proceeds from the sale of this book will be donated to Cancer Relief Gibraltar and Gibraltar Alzheimer's & Dementia Society.
